~ I am going to make my way in this blog on a metaphorical bridge of thoughts and perceptions from day to day to try to connect the known with the yet unknown. My bridge is like a single plank which will require the supplement of others.
I earned a B.A. at Penn State in 1975. May I interest you to take a look at an unusual book I wrote — a kind of novel in verse — about an immigrant Iranian-Jewish family living in Manhattan? The text is at the link below:
Rabbi Ostrich is originally from Lafayette, Louisiana!! Some fine people come out of Louisiana!!
Perhaps I am reading too much Freud in my Strauss, but a sequence in the third act of Strauss’s opera, Der Rosenkavalier makes me pause. Baron Ochs has rented a private room in a restaurant for a planned sexual liaison with Mariandel. As the waiters prepare the room, an off-stage ensemble of string players plays a nostalgic waltz tune — in the story it is music emanating from an unseen room in the restaurant. The thought occurs to me that that sequence might represent a primal scene fantasy. The unseen room is the parents’ bedroom, perhaps? I wonder.

Gary Freedman is a somewhat amoral and rebellious person who is generally an unhappy, vengeful, loner and risk taker, who stays to himself and has a chip on his shoulder, but is a detail-oriented, hard worker who has an active imagination. He gets upset easily, so don’t piss him off if you know what’s good for you!
I knew all that already! David Callet figured that out 30 years ago!!

Thank you for sending me this text. I am interested in gifted adults but I am not a clinician. I collect and distribute knowledge.
Your story may be relevant and interesting for other gifted people. What do you expect from me? Please let me know.
By the way: How did you find my email address?

I am a gifted person who experienced serious emotional abuse in childhood. I am also a layman with an interest in psychology and creativity. I am in therapy right now and have written summaries of some of my sessions. Perhaps you might have an academic interest in the text. It is unusual and contains several dream interpretations.
